Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Application Production Support Engineer to
join a dynamic team responsible for supporting a real-time payment
platform within a high-availability, fast-paced environment. The
ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise,
problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing and
resolving incidents in critical production systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily production support for real-time global payment
applications and associated platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues,
participating in incident bridges as necessary
Perform in-depth technical analysis, root cause investigation, and
resolution documentation
Ensure seamless operations by maintaining and updating runbooks,
contingency plans, and support documentation
Collaborate with internal technology and business teams to resolve
incidents and support application releases
Respond to audit, risk, and compliance-related requests and ensure
adherence to governance standards
Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for
automation, monitoring enhancements, and operational
efficiencies
Support application deployments, failover procedures, and patching
activities
Communicate incident status and resolution steps clearly and
confidently to stakeholders during bridge calls
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in a production support or
technical operations role
Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems and scripting
Strong SQL skills for data analysis and issue resolution
Experience working with monitoring tools (preferably Splunk)
Solid understanding of incident management, release management, and
change control processes
Demonstrated problem-solving, conflict resolution, and analytical
thinking in high-pressure environments
Experience supporting applications in a regulated,
high-availability industry (e.g., finance, payments,
healthcare)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in real-time payment systems, including associated
workflows and security protocols
Prior experience working in financial institutions or with payment
platforms
Familiarity with enterprise-grade monitoring and automation
tools
