Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Answers phone lines
Makes appointments/RS appointments
Sends lab orders to the lab/facilitates lab requisitions
Sends last visit note to referring offices if medical records release on file
Sends triage call to triage line
Takes hospital consults/ and forward information to the appropriate physician
Takes urgent messages and distributes to proper physician
Scans insurance paperwork, Rx paperwork, and patient information into EMR
Assists in requesting/providing medical records when needed
Other site-specific tasks as assigned by management
Requirements: Qualification/Requirement:
Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving occasional, last-minute changes in generally standardized situations.
Education/Training/Experience:
High school diploma or a GED
Six months of related experience and/or training
