Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARYThe Inpatient Clinical Manager is responsible
for overseeing the operations of the Social Work/Case Management
department across multiple inpatient settings, including a Level 1
psychiatric hospital and sub-acute units. This role involves
supervising social work and case management staff, coordinating
patient care, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and
regulatory requirements. The Clinical Manager will also provide
direct clinical services to patients when necessary. The individual
in this role will use their expertise as a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to lead a
team focused on patient-centered care, addressing the psychosocial
and case management needs of inpatient clients.ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage the social work and case management
team to deliver high-quality inpatient care across multiple
settings, including a Level 1 psychiatric hospital and sub-acute
units.Oversee day-to-day department operations, including staff
scheduling, patient assignments, and workflow optimizationConduct
clinical supervision and professional development for social
workers and case managersCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams,
including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals,
to create comprehensive care plans for patientsHelp oversee the
Title 36 program, ensuring compliance with all legal and clinical
standards related to involuntary patients, and coordinating care
for individuals under involuntary commitmentEnsure departmental
compliance with all healthcare regulations, including state and
federal guidelines related to social work and case
managementProvide direct clinical services to patients, including
psychosocial assessments, counseling, and discharge
planningDevelop, implement, and monitor quality improvement
initiatives for the departmentServe as a liaison between the
inpatient department and external agencies to coordinate patient
care and discharge planningMaintain accurate and confidential
patient records in accordance with legal, ethical, and
institutional standardsParticipate in budget planning and
management for the department, ensuring efficient use of resources
Manage department-specific projects as assigned by senior
leadershipQUALIFICATIONS21 years of age or older; or minimum 18
years old and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and
providing services within the personnel members scope of practice;
or minimum 18 years old for select administrative positionsMust be
able to provide or obtain an AZDPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance
CardMust possess and maintain a valid Driver License, current
automobile insurance, and a driving record that meets the
guidelines and requirements of the organizationCPI and CPR/First
Aid certification required (training provided by Polara
Health)Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or CounselingCurrent,
valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Minimum of 5 years of clinical
experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial
roleExperience in an inpatient or acute care setting preferredCORE
