• Developing thoughtful, effective and innovative packaging solutions to support the preservation and safe shipment of all hardware. -
• Creating packaging designs using CREO 3D CAD, including:*Protective cushioned packs*Corrugated structures*Wood crates and assemblies*Vacuum formed plastics
  • Initiating cost reductions and process improvements
  • Teaming with Product, Manufacturing and Logistics Engineering along with Traffic, Safety and EHS to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and with value
  • Planning, coordinating and executing Package Performance testing using ASTM D 4169 and/or International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) protocol
  • Developing and maintaining special packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military and Best Commercial standards.Qualifications You Must Have: -
    • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. - An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position
    • Experience with CREO, SolidWorks or other CAD software
    • Experience with project managementQualifications We Prefer:
      • Knowledge of distribution environments and their influence on packaging design
      • Knowledge and experience meeting MIL STD 2073 military packaging requirements
      • Familiarity and/or certification shipping hazardous materials and meeting CFR 49/IATA regulations
      • Lean manufacturing experience
      • Experience with cushion curves and design
      • Experience with shock and vibration testing and analysis

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
