Job Description:
Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense
aircraft platformBe part of a team that applies its
expertise and knowledge to the successful design of gas turbine
engines and
their installations. The Aerodynamic & Mechanical Sciences group is
seeking
applicants who will strive to find innovative, cost-effective means
for creating
and improving products and technologies, and the techniques and
procedures used
to design and validate them. You will be responsible to guide
the
successful design and validation of gas turbine engine components
as well as
their installations to assure they meet all fire resistance and/or
fireproof
requirements. This includes the selection of proper materials and
specific
design features that enable compliance during tests conducted to
the latest
fire testing standards for aerospace products.-- Thorough knowledge
of such standards is a must.-- You will be expected to assess
the
vulnerability to fire of each component and define and execute
appropriate fire
analysis and test programs to validate each design. Experience
with
aerodynamic, thermal, or structural analysis methods is beneficial.
Frequent interaction with internal
and external customers will require proficient writing, speaking,
and
presenting skills. --Your work will be
integral to satisfying current customers and securing future
business by
consistently meeting or exceeding their expectations. Key
