Description: Position Salary Range: $20.75 per hour We’re seeking a
dynamic and enthusiastic K-12 Career Education Management Intern
who is passionate about inspiring K–12 students and helping them
envision their future. The ideal candidate thrives in both large
and small group settings, confidently delivering engaging
presentations that spark curiosity about college and career
pathways. Beyond direct student engagement, this role offers the
opportunity to conduct meaningful research on effective college and
career readiness education, design innovative programs, and play a
key role in coordinating and facilitating impactful events both on
and off campus. The ideal candidate has exemplary communication
skills, has the ability to work independently as well as
collaboratively, is prompt with their follow-through, appreciates
and works well in innovative and evolving environments. Ability to
travel to offsite locations not accessible by ASU Shuttle. The
anticipated start for this position is June 2026. Essential Duties:
Assist with the planning and facilitation of K–12 career events in
partnership with ASU Career Services, Access ASU, and local schools
or non-profit organizations. Coordinate logistics such as
scheduling, materials preparation, and communication with school
staff. Assist with the development and implementation of new career
development activities and resources. Create new career exploration
activities Present and/or assist with interactive career activities
for K–12 students. Support the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
Collect participation data and feedback from events. Serve as an
ambassador for ASU’s mission of access and educational inspiration.
Participate in training and development sessions to enhance
professional skills. Provide conference and event assistance,
including preparation and on-site support. Attend professional
development seminars and workshops as part of internship learning.
Contribute to research and development projects related to K–12
career programming. Work schedule and location: Career Services
serves students and recent grads virtually, in the office and at
events mostly during the timeframe of Monday – Friday, 8:00 am –
5:00 pm. Some school events start earlier and there may we weekend
programs on occasion. All Career Services team members have
additional expectations to assist with division-wide, and ASU,
initiatives such as Fall Welcome, Family Weekend and Homecoming. A
specific work schedule will be arranged with the supervisor upon
hire for 20 hours a week. This position may be required to travel
to different ASU campuses for above essential duties. This
Internship program is a short term-position of a 12-month
experience or less. An additional one-year extension may be offered
contingent upon an annual review. Candidate is required to be
enrolled in a Graduate Program during the duration of employment
and continuation of employment will be based on enrollment in a
Graduate Program. Desired Qualifications: Strongly preferred
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree earned 1 year of experience in leading
and collaborating with students in a K-12 and/or college setting.
Desired Experience in working with youth in education settings
Experience with development and delivery of presentations to large
and small groups Experience effectively working with people in
varying sizes and modalities Experience with Microsoft Office
applications and database management systems. Can effectively
demonstrate knowledge of specific applications such as: Outlook,
PowerPoint, Google Drive Experience in work that requires attention
to detail and accuracy Experience in prioritizing varied workload
and meeting multiple, overlapping deadlines Evidence of effective
verbal and written communication skills Graduate Student in a
closely related field of study Working Environment: Must be
enrolled in a Graduate Program during the course of employment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office
setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and
manipulating a computer mouse Frequent bending, reaching, lifting,
pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds Ability to clearly communicate
to perform essential functions Regular use of standard office
equipment including, but not limited to: computer
workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax,
calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology
